CIPA Manufacturing
CIPA Company History

A Legacy of Innovation in Mirror Manufacturing

Until 1985, CIPA USA was a subsidiary of CIPA-France, an innovative leader in mirror manufacturing for more than 65 years. Founded in 1926, CIPA-France played a major role in the evolution of rear-view mirror design. CIPA USA’s experience in mirror development originated from the European automotive industry, serving manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen.

In the United States market, CIPA mirrors are used on vehicles produced by Chrysler, Ford, Honda and Toyota, as well as motorcycles, boats, personal watercraft, ATV/UTV vehicles and snowmobiles manufactured worldwide.

Since 1985, CIPA USA has operated as a privately held corporation based in Port Huron, Michigan. The company has experienced steady growth, expanding from annual sales of $500,000 at acquisition to more than $11 million by 2012. Today, CIPA manufactures products across the United States, Mexico and Asia, enabling efficient global production while maintaining strict quality standards.

In 1987, CIPA entered the boating industry as a manufacturer of rear-view mirrors for ski boat manufacturers. Today, CIPA leads the market in ski boat mirror products supplied globally.

Committed to customer satisfaction and quality improvement, CIPA completed ISO 9001 Certification and continues to innovate across multiple industries including automotive, powersports, towing and recreational vehicles.
